With Bat & Bar Mitzvah photography it is very important for the crew and me to open a line of visual dialogue right away. We like doing it and are good at it. Teenagers are often shy and feel awkward about themselves in the company of adults. They are not actors and it is up to us to draw them out for the occasion. They get a tremendous amount of attention on the day and it is very exciting. We like to make each and every one feel special. It is their moment and we are there to help create the memory.
